(More customer reviews)I was skeptical buying this product seeing as there are no mainstream minoxidil products over 5%.I should have listen to my gut, but I was tempted by the sell of quick improvement.
Why am I worried?Because when I use this stuff it makes my head feel strange:it's hard to describe because the feeling is somewhere in between lightheadness and a headache.This worries me immensely because as anyone who has researched minoxidil knows, it was originally created to reduce blood pressure.The symptoms I described are signs of low blood pressure, and if the pressure were to go too low, heart failure (death) can result.Despite being a tall male, I am a very thin person, and I have a normal blood pressure.You'll notice that women are only prescribed 2% of this stuff.So you can see how 15% might cause some problems.
This product largely sells itself on "X amount works, so more must be better!"This is an age old fallacy with medicine, and a good way to do damage to yourself.Everyone knows you never go over recommended dosage -- it's called overdosing, and people die of it.
I didn't want to give this product 1 star, because it probably works, but at the same time, I feel the potential dangers to well-being far outweigh any cosmetic gains, and people deserve to know.
